Kava is a root closely related to the pepper plant originating from the Pacific Islands! Traditionally, Kava is made by pounding the root and mixing it with water resulting in: dry kava powder!

The name "Kava" is from Tongan and Marquesan, meaning 'bitter'. The name is very honest! While it is earthy and robust, Kava provides a consistent and relaxing experience. Oftentimes, the flavor can be hidden with a delicious beverage or inside of an easy to swallow capsule. These are the two most common forms of consumption we provide in store! Pre-made Kava drinks are a great way to dip your toe into the experience to see how you enjoy it. Traditional and less common, some folks prefer to happily take kava powder by itself in water.

Despite the practice being less common, if you're looking to consume as traditionally as possible: we sell the powder as well!
